I have researched our HASTIE family tree, going back to the 1750's in Innerwick, East Lothian. Our direct descendants have been highlighted in bold.

Generation No. 1
1. WILLIAM HASTIE was born Abt. 1750. He married ELIZABETH GALBRAITH. Both were from the patish of Innerwick, East Lothian. they had 4 children, the eldest of whom was THOMAS HASTIE.

Generation No. 2
2. THOMAS HASTIE married ESTHER HOY in 1807. By then the family had moved to Berwickshire. They had 8 children, their son JOHN HASTIE was born in 1825.

Generation No. 3
3. JOHN HASTIE married ISABELLA NELSON.

Generation No. 4
4. Their son JOHN NELSON HASTIE married EUPHEMIA LUNN. They had 4 children, one of whom being my grandfather, JOHN HASTIE.
