I found your site very helpful whilst researching Chirnside, Nr Duns.  I came across it whilst researching my family history, my grandfathers surname is "Chirnside" and I guess this comes from the very first peoples of the village from which our family name comes. i.e. John of Chirnside etc.

If you have any information on family links and could advise me, that would be great.

Superb weather station and web site. I live within 10 miles and its great to see what has been going on with the weather. Last night was wild and windy and I can see the 44 MPH gust that woke me up - makes you wonder what 70MPH winds would be like...
